Spring Sewer Project Remediation
Philipsburg, PA, March 22, 2010. In the next few months, it will be time for the Sanitary Sewer Project contractors to finish up the sewer project. This entails replanting grass, repairing and/or replacing sidewalks and curbs, and repairing roadways that have been damaged due to the project. There is a current list of over 150 project locations needing attention and the Borough and Project Engineers will make sure properties are left in the proper condition as contracted.
To make sure your property is on the list, please download a copy of the sewer complaint form on www.philipsburgborough.org and submit it to boromgr@iqnetsys.net.. If you do not have internet access, copies of the complaint forms are available at the Borough Office at 4 N. Centre Street, Philipsburg, PA.
As the contractor’s schedule is firmed up, we will be posting notices of when the crews will be around and what areas they are working on. This has been a difficult project for many residents of Philipsburg and we ask for your continued support and assistance in finishing the project to everyone’s satisfaction.
We have also received questions regarding the lateral pipes and caps in resident’s yards. These pipes and caps are the property of the Philipsburg Borough. However, if the property owner damages the caps through anything other than typical use of the sewer pipe, it will be their responsibility to have them fixed.
Thank you in advance for your assistance. The Borough will do all it can to ensure a speedy and satisfactory completion to this project.
